Leveraging artificial intelligence, Stingray determines the most efficient routes by processing thousands of potential outcomes through the virtual asset. Drawing from historical log data and assessing the numerous “what if” scenarios against live weather models and observations, the digital twin will optimise against multiple criteria such as arrival time, safest passage, fuel usage, emissions, hull stress (prolonging vessel lifespan), as examples.

The digital twin is constructed from real-time and aggregated historical vessel performance records, enriched with meteorological, physics and engineering models. Powered by artificial intelligence, each twin precisely mirrors the behaviour of a specific vessel. It serves as a true-to-life replica of the ship capturing, in detail, its physics-driven responses under any given conditions.
